Muir Haven Farm, located in the gently rolling hills of West Central Florida, specializes in raising performance- and speed-bred American Quarter Horses as well as AQHA Appendix-registered horses and Thoroughbreds. Our 70-acre farm, just 6 miles southeast of the City of Brooksville, is a combination of lush pasture, ponds, granddaddy oaks, and native Florida pines, lending itself as a beautiful, natural setting for our stock. We also raise cross-bred beef cattle with mostly Black Angus blood if you're looking for replacement heifers or young bulls.
Our Stallion: Our AQHA-registered stallion, TRS Renegade Dash, is bred for speed top and bottom. Shadow is a grandson of Dash For Cash, (SI-114) on the top and, on the bottom side, he has two crosses to Top Moon (SI-100) right on his papers! Our Mares: We invest in only the highest-quality stock with proven lineage. Our Quarter Horse mares have been carefully chosen from legendary, performance bloodlines including Smart Little Lena, Mr. San Peppy, Freckles Playboy, Doc Bar, Mr. Gun Smoke, Leo, Triple Chick, Jet Deck, Cutter Bill and Bugs Alive in 75, to name just a few. Our Thoroughbred mares are from such close-up, famous names as Northern Dancer, Tri Jet, Susan's Girl, Unzipped, Midnight Madrigal and many others. Our Goal is simply to produce foals with excellent potential to become competitive in the discipline of your choice: barrel racing, reining, cutting, roping or racing. We have sought to bring in the traits of sound mind, intelligence, athleticism and speed through our out-crossing approach and have been very successful, thus far. We breed for QUALITY, not quantity, therefore we have only a few foals to offer for sale each year. With our Central Florida location, we strive to be a regional source of affordable prospects.
We welcome visitors most any days and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our breeding operation.
We also like dogs! Although we no longer raise our own litters of Jack Russell terriers. we have many friends who do. So if you happen to be looking for an excellent, forever companion, please let us know.
We are in contact with a local rescue group too, so please consider a dog or cat in need of a loving home.
